We are bucket fillers in Year One. Ask your child about bucket filling and dipping.

Last week we had so much fun and the whole week had a scarecrow theme. We added and subtracted scarecrow buttons, painted scarecrows and made a big scarecrow collage. The children enjoyed a story all about a scarecrow's hat. We made our own scarecrow paper dolls and wrote labels and sentences about what they were wearing.

 

 

Next week our blog word will be scarecrow. Well done to all the blog readers so far! Our class bucket is now full and the whole class will have a treat. Next week we will be looking at our favourite things and I will be asking the children to bring in a favourite item. This could be a favourite piece of clothing, slippers, teddy, book, CD, food - in fact anything that is a favourite with your child. We will be writing about these things through the week.
